Drew Barrymore's Air Fryer Toaster Oven is a Kitchen Miracle

As of late, I’ve been cooking up a storm in my kitchen. From dried apples and sweet potato fries to oatmeal cookies and roasted chickpeas, my countertops have seen it all. After nearly a month of using the appliance, here are a few of my takeaways from the experience.

This appliance comes in five colors: black sesame, cornflower blue, oyster gray, sage green, and white icing. Although the sage was tempting, I went with black sesame to guarantee a color that would match the kitchen of my future apartments. With a touch-activated display, the knob-free touchscreen illuminates only when needed rather than staying active at all times. Additionally, the oven door features an oversized glass window that provides visibility during cooking. Between the gold handle, touchscreen panel, steel accents, rounded edges, and soft matte finish, this appliance is beautifully designed.

It Takes Up Lots of Space

While compact for a two-in-one device, the size of this air fryer toaster oven is no joke. If you’re limited on counter space, maybe save this purchase for another time. With dimensions clocking in at a length of 19.48 inches, width of 15.90 inches, and height of 12.28 inches, you may need to relocate your coffee maker to squeeze this into your kitchen. That being said, while this appliance occupies a large amount of space, it’s such a good-looking addition to my kitchen that I hardly mind it being on full display. Bonus: this large size is a result of the appliance’s generous 24-liter capacity that can feed 5-7 people and fit a 12" pizza or 6 slices of bread.

It Offers Tons of Features

True to its name, the Air Fryer Toaster Oven offers settings typical of both an air fryer and a toaster oven. In total, there are 11 preset functions: Toast, Bagel, Broil, Bake, Warm, Pizza, Air Fry, Reheat, Cookies, Slow Cook, and Dehydrate. I was a big fan of the 90-minute, low-heat "Warm” mode that allows you to eat on your own schedule. It’s worth mentioning that the appliance comes with a removable wire rack, bake pan, mesh basket, and crumb tray, which are all dishwasher safe and BPA-free for easy clean-up. You can easily exchange and rotate through these as needed, depending on what’s for dinner.

It’s Surprisingly Affordable

Walmart is known for its affordability and Beautiful Kitchenware’s appliances are no exception. The Air Fryer Toaster Oven is listed at $79-$129, depending on which color you choose. While there are other more expensive models on the market that boast additional features, I was very satisfied with the features offered at this model’s price point. It’s worth remembering that this high-performing appliance is intended as a two-in-one, offering the features of both an air fryer and a toaster oven. If it seems too expensive for you, consider the total amount you would be willing to spend on an air fryer and toaster oven and see if the combined result is within the $79-$129 range.

It Performs Very Well

With a 1500-watt system and a temperature range of 140°F-450°F, you can cook nearly anything with this appliance. So far, I’ve used each of the presets except for the Pizza function. While I adjusted the cooking time and temperature a few times to suit my preferences, everything I cooked turned out well with relatively minimal effort required on my end. It really is as simple as choosing a preset option, letting the appliance pre-heat as needed, and leaving it alone once the cooking starts. I was surprised at how quiet the device was when in action. As someone whose had air fryers as loud as a blender, I appreciate being able to hear myself think as my dinner cooks quietly in the background.
